Not so much in its folky aspects (though I do love folk influenced melodies--it's just that I find that many bands trying to do the folk thing overdo it)... but in terms of the feel of their music. I'm a bit unsure how to put into words, but it's a certain degree of rawness that their music has, sort of a "wall of sound" effect. For example I'd say it's most present on their latest album, TGW and AJE and least present on TTND.
By raw I don't mean "poor production", but more that the melody is less "obvious" and carried more by several layers of rhythm guitar than by a very clean lead that stands out (even when Primordial does have semi-solos in their songs, they are buried in with everything else usually which I like). Bathory is another example of the kind of sound I'm looking for though I never got into them like I have Primordial.
