What model and eq do you use in your pod?
Do you use some extra eq for the guitars bus?

l6 big bottom ( metalshop )

drv full , bass full, mid almost full, treb en presence 2 o clock.
screamer stompbox 50,50, 31.

treadplate 4x12 cab, on axis mic, 22% room.
no eq in the podxt is used.

It's a built-in Samplitude meter.

Look at the column which says "TYPE"

The icon for band #5 is the high-pass filter.

Click on the icon to go thru the options... high-pass, shelf, bell, low-pass.. You can change it for any of the bands.

I got that cap from some mac webpage... I don't have waves installed on my system here... I'm supposed to be fixing computers at my job, not chatting on them and doing production... Anyhow, it generally only makes sense to use a high-pass on your lowest freq. and a low-pass on your highest freq. -- but never say never...

probably my ears, and the settings for the bass, seems strange lol, never got it that punchy before, so just eq'ing a little high's into it?

haha well a little ? normally the bass ( 6 strig bass ) sounds duff. and i waned that clear cripsy heavy bass. si added ALLOt of treble, + the 7 band eq.

The only thing is that I seem to find the guitars and the drums from 0:50 to 1:13 not to be in time with each other or rather somewhat out of sync.

WEL ANYWAY !!!! the song is finished and done with mixing . . what . . song ? i mean songs !!! yes i recorded 2 songs and took all the hints i tips i got from u guys !!!

the song i posted first here is called Machine Gun Bullet. it's finshed now.

Machine Gun Bullet sounds a bit better, but seems kind of thin somewhere in the midranger, I like humiliation better, seems to be more full, but the bass seems too loud on the higher notes still, and i think the drums need more balls to them, bring that kick up and give it some more thud, and give the snare a little more around 400hz or so, they don't really seem to pound out of the mix like the bass and guitars do, the synth is too loud to my ears, some of it sounds like in flames with the low pass filtered guitar parts, good music dude, just needs mixing a little better imo.

no i meant in flames as far as the low pass filtered shit, i just meant the synth's were too loud lol

I like your tunes, but you should seriously do something about that compressor you run in your master bus(i'm asuming there is one). Everytime there's just one guitar playing it just jumps up in volume and back down again when the "band" kicks in.
It's better to have a more balanced mix even if it means it wont be as "hot".
