Need some good opinions!

I'm looking at what monitors to get and i need some good opinions on this! What are some decently priced monitors but sound good! Max price at the moment is 400$! :[

you can get some m1 active mkII's there not bad for the price there only 299.

I would avoid the Alesis M1's unless you've got a decent room and your acoustics sorted. These things throw out a serious amount of low end to the point that I was never able to get y mixes to translate well. Got a set of Yamaha HS50's now and couldn't be happier.

I don't know much about monitors... I'm still a headphone guy with my trusty DT-990 Pro for mixing but the Yamaha HS50 sure as hell seems to be good.

You haven't mentioned information regarding your room treatment. If you've got a half-decent room (4 bass traps or so) I suggest that you go for M-Audio BX5a. I used to have those but later sold them off in exchange of BX8A (sex). The pads that come along with it are pretty thin, but serves the purpose well enough. However, If you've got plenty of bass traps* in your room getting a sub woofer would be pretty much mandatory.

*As Ethan Winer once said, you can never have too much.
