need something to fill void left by Dissection

I think Dissection was one of the finest metal bands ever and I know I'm not alone on this. Until Jon gets out of jail, I need something similar to listen to.

I've heard Naglfar and Swordmaster are similar to the almighty Dissection. Which is better, and are there any other similar bands you can recommend?

Yeah..Dissection was the greatest..Swordmaster is fucking great, not too similar to Dissection, but check them out anyway..Naglfar is pretty good too..only others I know are Sacramentum and Unanimated..This was discussed on the Dissection board..check that thread out..

Naglfar's Diabolic album is probably the best in that style. As far as being able to fill the void left by Dissection.......impossible. No one will ever write a song as chilling as Nights Blood ever again.......at least until Dissection records another album.

I dont know if anyone is into them but Soul Reaper has members of Dissection in thier band, They will never be Dissection, But I don't think its bad at all.

Yes, but they sound nothing at all like Dissection..just Morbid Angel worship..but, they aren't too bad..
