Ok, somebody help me pick a first Neurosis album.

TER has these shits in stock:
Through Silver in Blood
Times of Grace
Souls at Zero
A Sun that Never Sets

I've given a half-assed listen to samples of this band a couple of years ago and determined that I'd like them. The less -core the better (so you'll probably tell me to go with The Eye of Every Storm) but gimme some input here people!

edit: this band has some of the best album names i've ever heard!

Times Of Grace is probably the most representative release overall, but for someone wary of -core The Eye is indeed the way to go as it has virtually no harsh vocals and focuses more on bleak atmosphere than crushing heaviness...if the new album fuses the two as flawlessly as the announcement suggests, it will indeed rule all.

Times of Grace is my fave. I truly feel it represents the whole Neur-Isis core movement better than any other album.

Nothing beats the originators.

My suggestion is either Souls At Zero or Through Silver in Blood.
Both are brilliant.
If you dabble in Times of Grave, get the companion disc Grace by Tribes of Neurot. Played separately, the both kinda underwhelm, played together on different stereos, they're really quite fine.
