Ehh... the music is good but the vocals are too shitty. I can't handle Jarboe, she just flat out sucks. She should never be allowed near a microphone EVER.

I kinda agree there.... Jarboe's voice isn't the greatest, but its really not that bad.... I love the album..... although I can imagine how much better it would be to me with Steve's wise, haunting voice and Scott's tortured yells....

Neurosis + Jarboe: 5 / 10
What a HUGE drop in quality and it is about 95% due to the vocals. What a disappointment.

Neurosis have enough variety to keep me appeased. I could listen to their older hardcore stuff, their mid period industrial sludgecore stuff, or their later more soothing post hardcore material. If I was tired of those, I could even listen to their ambient Tribes of Neurot material or Old Man Gloom for a mixture. But this experiment just fails.

the vocals are ok, but some of the lyrics... jesus. especially that Shakespeare and "latin tree names" stuff.
