NEVERMORE Bassist To Undergo Crohn's Disease Treatment; Band Announce Temporary Replacement - Apr. 25, 2006
NEVERMORE bass player and one of the founding members Jim Sheppard will soon be undergoing a minor procedure for Crohn's Disease, a condition he's managed for over 15 years. Unable to perform with the band during the first part of their upcoming tour with IN FLAMES, Sheppard is expected to rejoin the group in Spokane, WA May 18. Filling in for Sheppard will be longtime friend James MacDonough (ex-MEGADETH, ICED EARTH).

NEVERMORE, who just wrapped up a series of dates with ARCH ENEMY, will be performing at several European summer festivals, including Rock Hard, Sweden Rock and Wacken Open Air before supporting DISTURBED across Europe this fall. After their touring activity the band will be taking time off to write the follow-up to last year’s critically acclaimed album "This Godless Endeavor".

DUDE JIM, GET BETTER! :( :(

Get well soon Jim. Hope the treatment goes well.

I knew an ex-co-worker that had Crohn's Disease. He always sick. He would look terrible one day and be shitting blood. Nasty. Then after a couple of days he would be fine. He used to be a crabber/ fisherman making 150K a yr. Now he is part of a production crew making 11 an hr. He is restricted now on what he can do. sucks, very nice guy too.

JIM! omg! this is awful! i had no idea! my aunt has Crohns and has been battling it for a long time! long as i can remember! its an awful disease!
Please get better Jim! *hugs*
