Memory Garden play power metal with strong doom overtones, somewhat akin to early Candlemass though not quite as overtly doomy. Highlighted by Stefan Berglund's vocals (occasionally sounding like a less operatic Messiah Marcolin, other times reminding one of Robert Lowe of Solitude Aeturnus) and an outstanding production, Tides is a fine power metal album.
