Nevermore returns in 2025?????

I don't care if it's under the Nevermore name or not. It'll be exciting and it will bring back memories when I see the logo in person at shows, on an album cover & on new merch though.

I'm just insanely excited to hear Jeff & Van playing together again. Such undeniable chemistry together. While I cherished Warrels lyrics and delivery more than any vocalist, for myself it was always the band that hooked me in.

I was telling my wife the night of the announcement that I can't believe it's a possibility I'll get to hear a Nevermore song at a show again. I can't wait.
It was the killer music that drew us in, then the vocals elevated it to indescribable heights.

Every part of it mattered, which bums me out that Jim isn't involved... but I understand.

Yeah, I'm also exited to see what comes out if this. Hopefully they won't settle on the cheap clone of Warrel, that would be terrible. If I'm to get new Nevermore, I want it to be a real new chapter, with a new personality and a new style at the helm. I was thinking of someone like Tim Aymar who sadly passed away last year. Russel Allen would be awesome too. Most likely someone completely unknown, but with a style sufficiently distinct that it makes sense to speak of a new era. Not everybody can do a Queensrÿche move with their singer.

<3 Jim

I feel bad for him but I'm glad he doesn't appear to be resentful. Maybe we'll see him at the Seattle show when Nevermore tours again.

That would be amazing.

I listened to TGE for the first time in a while tonight. What a fucking absolutely GOD-TIER album. It just gets better over time.

Love y'all

I saw them live in 2023, and they're great live. With that being said, he's too "power metally" in his tone. There are a million of those dudes out there.

Sure there are - its metal you need to reach the heaven's with the vox, this dude can do it and match it live with a sing along in germany.

Look if cassettes are making a com back then the battle angels/land of the brave and where dragons rule need to be covered.

Or it will sound for 2025 like P.O.D band meets blind guardian - LIMP AS,

The hell? I was today years old when I found out about this news, and only stumbled upon it because I was searching to see if Silver Talon was working on a new album. That band got shit on when I mentioned them four years ago, but they're seriously the only band that captured the essence of Nevermore of the bands that were clearly inspired by them, and their vocalist Wyatt Howell also does a decent job at emulation. Better than Joseph Michael, who simply has a higher range.

There's some wild speculation that Wyatt might be the new vocalist, but I kind of hope he isn't. I don't want another band I actually like to lose their vocalist, and not everyone is capable of playing in two different bands simultaneously. Hell, the last Sanctuary album was released over a decade ago, and now Joseph Michael is splitting duties between Sanctuary and Witherfall, and the latter has gone downhill in the process.

What? No. The vocalist for Riot City doesn't really sound like Warrel aside from the fact that both of them were greatly inspired by Halford. That's the extent of it. He sounds nothing at all like Warrel did in Nevermore. Burn the Night and especially Electric Elite are great albums (been listening since they were released), but it's not Nevermore and the vocalist doesn't really sound like Warrel at all other than some minor similarities to when he was in Sanctuary.

Ironically, the vocalist I was just speaking of that's from Witherfall sounds closer to the vocalist in Riot City, or even Daniel Heiman from Lost Horizon.

Also, I don't know if this guy auditioned or not, but he actually sounds better than the majority who uploaded their audition videos to Youtube.
