Nevermore vocals

And when I say kind of more straightforward thrashy stuff, I'm comparing it to their other albums, not to other bands like Megadeth.

Dreaming Neon Black is the one I actually think is the most different. Slower gloomy parts are placed well on DNB. Enemies is very aggressive compared to others.

When I think power metal vox, I don't think of Warrel Dane now

Go back and listen to Battle Angel's when he was in Sanctuary, you'll go right back to thinking of Warrel when you think of PM vocals.

I own both Sanctuary full lengths and that's obviously more power/heavy metal type stuff. However, his vox in Nevermore aren't the power metal type imo. More prog vox than anything

When I think power metal vox, I think the dude from Dream Evil

When I think PM vocals I think Crimson Glory, yet they were somewhat progressive. Warrel doesn't do what most PM singers do, but he does still sing, vibrato and all, something thrash singers don't do.

Give it a listen. It's a really good disc.

I think his vocals are awesome.... and they fit their style too.... he isn't like every other metal singer... he's original
