I finally recorded my new 6505+ with voodoo Deluxe mod.

Drums are just shitty Fruity Loops.

Only 2 tracks of guitars panned L/R 100% using i5 and sm57 on a V30 retrofitted 5150 straight cab.

Red channel, no effects, no eq, no verb.

The little clean part is green channel with a little crutch and reverb

Ibanez mmm1 baritone in drop A tuning.

Also, there is no bass on this either.

I'm very pleased with my 6505+.....let me know whatcha think.

my settings were on the red channel.....

pre-7
bass-6
mid-6
treb-6
post-3
res-7
pres-7

mic volumes.... i5 -1db, 57 -0db

.......about the mids, this is just dry tracks.....I'm sure a slight eq and C4 and all would probably make it pretty sexy.
But I just wanted people to hear it dry. The only thing I ran on the amp was an ISP Decimator.

damn man, I love that tone. Sounds thick and like you said, with the right EQ and C4, this would be killer.

I had my old mk1 5150 Voodoo modded about 3 years ago but ultimately sold it. I wish I was into recording then as much as I am now, wonder what kind of tones I could of copped from it.

Ahh exuse me, not the bass guitar but the low frequencies of your guitar sound.

yeah, an Eq and C4 on the guitars along with a bass guitar would probably go a long way. But, I think it sounds pretty good for only 2 guitar tracks on rythm and being dry.
