Agreed. If only Russell had put his creativity into a new solo album instead of something yet more aggressive. As much as I love Iconoclast which has some classic, clean Allen vocals in addition to his newer more aggressive style (which IMO first really showed its face on V and became dominant on The Odyssey), I miss Sir Russell the progmetal vocalist a lot versus Lord Russell the Power-thrash Badass. It'd be nice if he was in a side project that predominantly showed off those chops like older Symphony X did.
Omerta is a great Kataonia song. I'm going to forget it's the name of the upcoming AM album

Still not sure what to think about this. I really was not a fan of the EP, but this one only kind of hurts my eardrums. I just hate hearing Russell sounding like that. But somewhere deep down, this has a groove...a groove that I am a fan of. We'll see how the full length turns out.

Are they not aware that Lamb of God took Pantera's slot for young aggressive though guys while the older ones move on to BLS? This is just terrible.I almost picked this album up yesterday but... Still, Russ sounds better even at this style than any other vocalists of the bands that Adrenaline Mob is compared to in this thread. Just a monster of a vocalist!

Wait... so... you don't like a band... fair enough. But just because you don't like them, it doesn't mean they're "trying to live their tough guy fantasies." So sorry to have said something bad against heroes of the progpower realms. But yeah the song sounds like Pantera and bad Pantera at that. It's like tough guy metal for Trekkies (geeks).
Now I do REALLY like Russell vocals, the only thing about Symphony X I do like but this well...
