I like it. Then again, I've been wanting a 5150 forever so choices will have to be made at some point.

Tbh, I used to have one of these. Didn't really like it. I felt like it had the wrong speakers for the tone, and couldn't get it to sound dark enough.

However I loved the feature set of the amp. It was just the stock tone that I got from it that I wasn't into.

not bad!! Im more of a Dual Recto guy, but I own a Mark IV and it IS a freaking beast of an amp! I havent played many Mesas though....

@drew. It sounds quite dark in vintage mode. I'm using my 4x12 tho.
After two days spent with it, I feel it lacks some pick attack even with the OD's tone turned all the way up...
Probably something easier to get with a 5150.

if you like the general character of this tone, be aware that a 5150 will not even get you anywhere near that. it's a totally different beast altogether.

Haha.Well here's is my 30 years old super grade (this angle/light doesn't show all the scratches but she's been mistreated by her previous owner)
The bridge pickup isn't the original one. It's a p90 style SD phat cat.

I had one of these, with the stock shef's they come with/JJ's. Loved the FUCK out of this amp, and yeah... The beast weighs a good 85lbs I drilled and set casters onto mine, along with adding 2 extra handles on each side on the top

Check your local Lowe's/Menards. Casters are pretty cheap, don't destroy tone whatsoever, and make one HELL of a difference.

I made a quick reamp clip of the tone competition song with the green channel. A bit too much gain. I don't think it does it justice. This thing sounds like a beast.
