Decided I wanted to convert my Mesa mark v combo into a head and mini cab, as I had originally planned to purchase the head. I was back home in the states last year for a couple weeks and the shop near me only had the combo and couldn't get the head in while I was there so I grabbed the combo. Decided since I plan on incorporating into my live rig this year I better get it made into a head. Combos aren't cool live lol
So anyways a dude I record fairly regularly is a joiner by trade and offered to construct it for me.*
Removing the reverb tank and cabling.*
Ze brain.
Test panel of the wood with three coats of lacquer.*
Joining the wood up. Unfortunately he wasn't able to get the same quality of rosewood in with more width as the blanks he had were coming up short. I suggested a stripe down the middle rather than butting two parts together. Stripe of dark Australian hardwood running down the middle. Not sure if it's jarrah or something else.*
Top and sides joined up. Angle of the face of the amplifier roughly done. Transplanted the handle from the combo. Drilled in to line up location.*
Clamping up for glue, all the joins are internal.*

Set up, handle in location. Light sanding.
Lined the amp up and drilled holes and bolted in to new case to see how it fits. Put a tube in to see the vertical clearance for the reverb tank. Brackets aren't on yet for holding amp in place.*
Another angle. Note all the edges are nice and rounded off with the router.*
Semi finished. Have to dismantle for lacquering and sanding back and lacquering and buffing. Hopefully get it back tomorrow.*
Loving the grain in the rosewood I think it'll come up awesome.
