Well, opinions differ. I really enjoy John's singing (However, I think he's better in Armored Saint for me), but I vastly prefer Joey over him- he was fucking classic, so I don't see how he could be the weakest link in Anthrax (it's the opposite way, IMO). Still, Neil Turbid was The Anthrax singer and no one can beat him! With him and Danny Lilker in the band Anthrax was better than ever (in my opinion, of course)
