New as i lay dying song...

oh and i thought they were in the process of developing their own sound.
bassplayer's gone, sounds gone. nothing unique left. but i guess thats a
standard metal-illness.

It does sound different than their earlier album, which isn't a bad thing. I dig the direction really (less breakdown abuse that scene is know for)

aw....way to go reminding me of living sacrifice...

I miss them so much....they would totally own the metal scene right now...and hearing them with a good recording/mix would just be amazing..

I agree. Living Sacrifice could totally own nowadays. Though, I was a bit fond of the rawness of some of their records.

Yeah dude, Bruce has a really awesome, sinister sounding growl. If Living Sacrifice got back together I would be REALLY excited.

As for the new As I Lay Dying song, I'm definitely digging it. I'm curious about the rest of the record. It's really good to see that they were right about changing their sound so much, and I'm glad that when I buy it, it won't just be for the production!

i dont really like it, it sounds a lot different than their old stuff

give me 94 hours or darkest nights any day

does it sound like they tuned up to drop D to anyone else?

we should start a petition lol.

Maybe if enough people wanted them to come back, would see them, and buy their stuff, they would come back. I know Bruce isn't doing it because he has a family and needs to support them...

If anything, a studio album could be done and maybe some light touring. As stated, Rocky is free now, as is Jason Truby, and Lance never seems to be busy.

Yeah, I don't think doing a studio album would be bad at all...it wouldn't be as demanding as touring and you know that all the diehard LS fans would eat up all their stuff...I know I have lol.

I honestly didn't care for Jason on guitar... I liked their Hammering Process and Conceived in Fire lineup. The thing is, their percussionist is in another band, I can't remember what it was...lovedrug or something... Lance is in Ben Moody's thing and Soul Embraced, Rocky is in Soul Embraced...

I was thinkin' we could get Jason on bass...or who knows, maybe he, Rocky, and Bruce could trade off solos.
