I like some metalcore but I think this is just generic and the vocals are shite.
If it was 5 years ago maybe i could get into it but the whole genre has far outstayed its welcome

No...I'm gonna have to say that, no! This song is not good. It does sound like "all" other NWOAHM/Melo-death-core stuff. It has a great sound and that riff-matching-drum-beat thing, which sounds great, but is way overused and cannot justify the existence of these songs. I don't know enough to describe why this music has nothing deeper than the surface to recommend itself, but it's the truth.

I cannot wait for the new album.
If its like Within Destruction I'm gonna love it.
The blasting half way through is awesome.
He's stepping up a bit Jordan, still not the best but his work is getting a small bit better.
Be interesting to hear the new bassist's vocals, they're supposedly really good.

I gave it a chance. There's some cool riffs but the breakdowns and vocals really kill it for me.

it amazes me that when a band becomes more popular people begin to not like them for it. its ridiculous. i think they are good but as ive seen in the past when a new member is introduced it changes it for the worst... i hope this isnt the case.

I gave that song a listen, it just sounds like every other core band I've heard. I can't stand the vocal technique used in hardcore/metalcore.

It's a perpetuation of generic metalcore mixed with melodic death metal. These bands all sound so similar. They have an immedeate appeal due to the heavy sound and good production, and some good ideas here and there, but tend to have no depth of songwriting. The vocals are also all very similar and lack character. The whole thing tends to devolve into a barrage of heavy riffs and breakdowns and a guy screaming. You could dissect the songs and piece them together with parts of songs from other bands of the same ilk and the songs would be no worse or better.
I know that is a lot of generalization, but it goes surprisingly far in that genre. I tell you the truth when I say it's not just an anti-trendy-trend thing to dislike that stuff. I don't care what anyone thinks of what I like, and I have tried with that stuff, but it is inferior.
