New Aussie prog project Alien X

Hi all Symphony X fans!!

As a massive fan of Dream Theater and Symphony X along with all good prog acts, i thought i should mention this new CD i got put on to...

Alien X is a new Australian prog project consisting of just two members,yet has the sound of a complete band...their music is very melodic,yet progressive and is nearly all instrumental except for the last track.

These dudes add melody to instrumental prog which at times has been been somewhat lacking,so thought id share it with everyone...

The samples are only a tease but the whole album is killer!!

Judging by the samples, I found most ideas were really good!

What was really disturbing on the other hand, was the guitar sound... The guitars sounded as if they were mixed through a $20 stompbox.
Now, I guess the album production is homemade, but if they could improve that guitar sound it'd result in a much more pleasureable listening experience. =]
