Not bad, dig the drum sound... I guess having portnoy on the record did have an influence on the mix engineer to push the durms a little forward.
Btw, who mixed this ?
Oh, and Is it me or are these guys really inspired by danny elfman ? All the melodic lines in their songs are very elfman'ish to my ears.
I dunno the last album they produced themselves and you can see that there was a lot of shit that should've been changed or cut completely , but wasn't. I'm thinking mostly of "A Little Piece of Heaven" , basically just a really really bad Nightmare before Christmas ripoff , did not fit on there at all. Also the mix was kinda shitty to me.
And I can notice some fanboyism by JayB on this thread.
Almost easy was my fave on that disc
Thanks for sharing ! I see what you did there , throwing "faggot" into a bands name
Care to talk about the mix like I asked?
Bit hard to judge the mix when I can't even get past the part where the vocals first kick in because the song sucks so fucking much.
I love the drum tones. Really powerful, punchy and thick. Fuck yeas. The rhythm guitar tone pleases me, too. Too bad I absolutely hate the song and the vocalist. Eww.
I already think that Bullet For My Valentine are a bit gay. But this band is totally homosexual!uke:
Yeah seriously , I'm not trying to be a fanboy , just stating that I like the songs on this CD so far , and yeah when people come into a thread knowing what it's about and proceed to just say it's gay , without even mentioning what the post is about , the mix , it is kind of annoyingand better quality version for Spotify users: http://open.spotify.com/album/6GLns6AVAQfVhyx3oOYsAP
edit: That sounds like a really twisted mix between Nickelback and Metallica. And the singing is just really awful. And I can notice some fanboyism by JayB on this thread.

same hereAlmost easy was my fave on that disc
Waking the Fallen was by far my favorite. I really only liked Beast and the Harlot / the solo in Bat Country on COEsame here, but it's the only song that I really liked.
city of evil was so awesome...dunno why they always step up the faggortry on every album...at least they'll get laid by a lot of chicks that way
I just noticed that the guitars could use moar gain at some parts :/
