New bassplayer announced!

Hell yes! Jari is one of the best bass player around in the heavy music. His talents not always showed through Stratovarius's music, but that is not his fault.
I'm a bass player myself and know what I'm talking about here, and I seriously belive Evergrey will have a new start with him - IF they let him put in his touches and finally make the bass heard well on an Evergrey record.

Great news!!! Jari seems like a really nice guy, and its going to be exciting to see how he works out with evergrey! I have listened a bit to strato, and he is a great Bassplayer with a lot of experience.

Also its really great with the new blog to get all the latest news in whats going on! Great guys!

I know that Jari "Jartsi" Kainulainen is the best choice to band! He is totally the best bass player what I know:rock: :kickass: And I hope to see him and Evergrey in Finland very soon...!
And I know That Jartsi is very very happy that he is bass player in this band! There is no reasons that why he is not good bass player for this band!
Right?

well, it's a good new. Does Jari bang his head as Mikael used to bang??? Will he fill this important space (headbang) ?

i just google imaged him, he doesn't ring any bells :s
i'm not a stratovariusfan :s

he looks kinda odd in comparison to frederik and Michael...
but that could be just me, and it doesn't have anything to do with his musical abilities.
anyway, i hope they come to belgium again soon :D

I think they chose a good bass player, I'm a fan of Stratovarius and he's definitely a quality bass player. I'm really not worried about the headbanging aspect because it really doesn't make a huge difference whether he does or not. Glad to have you aboard Jari.

Yeah!!:kickass:
I think Jari will be an awesome replacement for both Micke and Fredrik.
I've heard alot of him and I can't wait to see him live!
I sure hope he's a real crazy headbanger though..

Of course it doesn't really matter if Jari headbang as hell.

But I'm sure someone capable of working with Timo Tolkki (an extreme depression case) can bring interesting experiences. These experiences may turn EG sound into a much more northern one. It may be good for people like me living in a hot city (İstanbul == people of US, we don't have camels there; don't worry). EG may refresh our hearts with northern winds. It's a little up to what Jari may bring to EG.

Anyway. EG should come to İstanbul. It's been centuries (2005 april) since I saw Tom on the stage.:waah:

From what I know Jari isn't a huge headbanger. I've seen him playing once and he was very "calm" on stage. But he surely is a great bassplayer, and certainly the best one Evergrey has ever had. Let's see how he and the band deal with each other. Anyway Evergrey did an excellent choice!

Just got back from my first EG show with Jari. He did a great job and "Headbanged the iron" Directly translated from swedish:lol: He is a bit anonymous on stage, but he didi a great job, and he is a very good bass player. Got to shake his hand and have a few words with him after the show.
