New Born of Osiris streaming on Facebook

This new stuff sounds like a really incoherent attempt to make what I'd describe as "space music."

Agree that Sturgis would have done a better job.

But DOODS, seriously this band sounds this shitty live (actually worse, the FOH sounded garbage). Key player had the timing of a noob and band was a giant sloppy vagina.

Weird. When I saw them they were absurdly tight. When did you see them?

Anyway, I'm a little bummed out. For some reason the weird/shitty production of the first cd still captures the band better than the last two, at least in my opinion.

Is it so hard to get some solid production? Soooo many horrible bands out there manage to put out a decent sounding release yet these guys seem to put out shitty sounding albums on purpose. I don't get it...

I have to agree, it starts to seem to be on purpose now. With the sturgis and stuff and choosing to go to a random studio record all guitars through an axe-fx lol..

Despite the production overall on this album not being that great, I think it's still a step up from their last album. Songwriting doesn't interest me though.

I can't belive no one has mentioned the extreme distortion on the master.
I listened on facebook and could hear extremely audible distortion on the whole track.

Who cares that the production sucks, the music isn't even fucking good.
Just reminds me of modern day Dream Theater style song writing "HEY LET'S PIECE TOGETHER STUFF THAT DOESN'T EVEN REMOTELY FLOW WELL AND SOUND COHERENT".
I suppose it will appeal to the kids that love that "be as 'prog' as possible at the expense of song writing" aspect, so it's going to sell, but I sure as hell wont be buying it.
