Yeah, people give less than two shits about Randall gear, it seems. They just figure it's not worth anything so you can get some really great deals on some really great equipment if you buy Randall stuff used! Congrats on the find!

Gratz...esp on that price . I love my XLT100 .... got h100 and v30 in it and it srsly kicks some ass. really really tight bitch ... hope im able to do some nice clips soon.

Yeah, its build like a tank ... tonewise im still struggling if it comes to recording. Awesome sound in the room .... but as soon as i put a mic in front of it....hm.... gonna get another mic soon, cuz the sm57 is not the perfect mic for this cab i guess. Could need a mic thats more.... "wide" and has more lows than the sm57. Lets see....

Yeah there is a lot of high end with the cab. I had the same thing with my Carvin Legacy.

Something that doesn't have so many high miss like the 57 would suit it well too.

Just ordered some acustic-wool ( ? ) .... lets see how that works. Hope it will take away some of the "focused" sound and makes it a bit "bigger" ....

Hi, sorry for the late answer, but i just installed the wool and first impression so far: sounds even tighter and indeed a bit bigger. Gonna try to make samples somehow....

Got v30 and h100 in a x-pattern in it and srsly: it sounds so freaking tight, love it ( earforce+maxon 808+rg1527 with emg 707). Hope it also sounds good on tape, but its hard to make good samples in an apartment, since i could need a bit more time for mic adjustment and stuff.
