new COB song ugly!

The Blooddrunk tone is muddy as fuck. Listen to any of the songs with headphones. Dearest lord. Which track is it.... Lobodomy I believe. The intro riff cannot be understood it is so disgustingly bleedy. I cannot compare this tone yet. Gotta hear the highest possibly quality but at least the lead tone sounds might brighter and easier on the ears.

As for the song... yeah Blooddrunk and Smile Pretty are pretty decent songs but I think Ugly is leaps and bounds better. The solo is fantastic, the chorus is great once you get into it and the riffs are much more interesting. I cannot forget to mention the keys. Yeah, you can hear them! Fantastic.

THIS! Thank you. :D

that solo really isn't hard at all but i actually think i like it more after i learned how to play it hahaha

The opening sample is from House MD, Season 6 Episode 12. Dr Hadley (13)... I knew I had heard that before. Yea, I'm a bigtime House MD junkie. Thought that was pretty awesome!

I think this song is great. Riffs are well worked, you can hear the synth! and the solo is pure adrenaline when it starts.

Considering that Alexi Laiho said WIWI was much different than the other RR songs, and that the review are saying that Ugly is not the best RR song ...

Can't wait the rest.

Season 6? Holy shit. We have to get our asses in gear. We've only started season 4... or 5? Shit, I can't remember but god damn I love that show. I would be a junky too if they actually kept up with America's episodes. Should probably invest in the DVDs.

I am by no means a fan of house and i kind of think that the quote is super out of place at the start of this song?
does anyone else think that?

Nope... Never seen any of them as out of place. It may not be as awesome as the intro to Hatebreeder. "From now on we are enemies... you and I" is the damn best intro they've had for a song/album. The quote isn't as powerful as what they've had in the past but it adds a personality and fun-factor that other bands just don't have (same with the orchesta hits from the keyboards) and that is what made Bodom so appealing to me in the first place. Taking those out really made Bodom look like they were cutting the mullet and just going pure business.

i love the quotes to hatebreeder and follow the reaper, even the one at the end of sixpounder/start of angels dont kill is great but are those quotes all from something else? i thought they were just someone speaking hahaha

Angels Don't Kill is from American Psycho. Great movie, if you haven't seen it yet.

Don't know the others off the top of my head.

It indeed is. First I thought it would be some shitty teen horror movie, but after watching I could even say it was the exact opposite.

I also like the quote from Platoon which is in the end of Needled 24/7. In my opinion it sounds damn cool when quote ends and Sixpounder kicks in, though Sixpounder has never been one of my favourite songs.
