I'm really liking this. It's a little like Cruelty meets Midian meets Therion in places. The drums are out front where they should be...they actually sound like Barker. Good riffs, good synths.

Not the best Cradle album but the best thing since Midian, imo. Actually, I'll take this one over Midian. It's very epic-sounding.

You'd take it OVER Midian, wtf.... did we listen to the same album? I liked the songs on Thornography better than this new album ffs, I will give it another listen when I have time but yeah, my first impression I was not good.

I never understood what was so great about Midian...my favorite CoF album is Cruelty and this one reminds me of it, with a little bit of Therion's Deggial in places as well.

Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder won't be for everyone, but I really like it.

Midian, DAAD, Nymphetamine and Thornography are my favourites by them, I'm not jumping on any Midian band wagon I just, really got into that album when I was younger, Cthulu Dawn, Saffron's Curse, Lord Abortion, etc... all great songs.

Midian was overrated. WAY too much Sara Jezebel Deva. Sounded like a Siebenburgen album ffs. Dusk is where it's at.

As for the new one, I have heard some clips and am enjoying the drums a lot more than I did with Dave. No one will touch Nick.

I have to agree with the Midian comment...way too much Sara and too polished when it didn't need to be.

Dusk and Cruelty are the end of the world as far as CoF goes. They'll never surpass those albums.
