Just got myself a new pc and the audio is fine with its inbuilt soundcard, but as soon as i install any of my line6 or roland audio interfaces even with up to date drivers, the audio gets choppy and skippy.

system specs
Intel i5 processor
8bg Ram
Windows 7 64 bit OS.
Its a Dell btw.

I've tried the following interfaces with no luck.
Tone Port UX1
Tone Port KB37
Guitar Port
Roland VG99
Yamaha Mixing Desk/Usb interface

All have the most recent driver for windows 7 64bit.

yup mate, i did. had it alll the way up way higher than my old pc and it still did it.
My old pc for what its worth is XP sp2, dualcore 1.8 processor and 2gb ram

had a similar issue once. turned out to be the DVD drive that was interfering with the Interface drivers.

Go through "Device Manager" and de-activate all non-essential hardware one at a time until you track down the culprit.

thx mate, i'll try that. i've being reading about wireless networking cards causing simular issues too.

thx, as well for the advice ahj, forgot to say it above.
