Love the song, and love the entire album. Its like a mix of Hellfire Club, Mandrake, and Rocket Ride IMO. This coming from someone who disliked the last 2 albums overall.

While the sound is promising, what a weak and forgettable chorus. Was there a chorus? It was hard to tell.

Yeah they sang "Whoa oh oh" and the title of the song. Chorus! Hey, it passed for one in the 80s.

Does nothing for me and don't understand the love for this tune. Problem is they promised a power metallish album, and I don't hear that at all with this song.

I'm glad you like it, because you're one of my "metal compasses"! I agree, the last two releases are okay at best...basically very flat. I'm hoping this new one brings back at least some of the old Edguy.

Going to spin it more today. So far, it's a big return to form.

That was good. Way better than djent jokes. I had a hearty guffaw at the entire exchange.
I checked out the tune, and I dig it. It reminds me of some of the material from "Hellfire Club." The rhythms are mean, there's a sing-along vibe, and Tobias sounds fine, despite some of the comments made here (I have to agree with adaher on this point).
I think Edguy is damned if they do and damned if they don't with the folks on this forum. "Rocket Ride" definitely divided fans, and "Tinnitus Sanctus" didn't do anything to help unify them or even keep some of the folks who defended them in the case of "Rocket Ride," but I thought "Age Of The Joker" was a pretty good album. I'm surprised that more people didn't dig on it. I wouldn't say that it was the masterpiece that "Hellfire Club" was, but it was a solid effort, nonetheless. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of this album. They can't all be hits out of the park, people!
