May have already been posted, but I didn't see anything so here it is

I love when these guys are discussed on this forum, makes me shit myself laughing with the comments of sheer disdain and hatred , so come on.. have at it

I'll start: WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT!? CRUNK-CORE?!

I hate about 90% of the songwriting, but there are a few moments that sound like great hardcore. Also, Sturgis did an amazing job on this album -- full production, mixing, mastering and engineering credits. As usual, Joey's albums have such a thick clean loud sound. SOUNDS great! But the songwriting is :puke:

Ok someone beat me to it literally by 8 minutes  Must've done it while I was making this thread, you swine!

Haha... great timing! ;D .. I was wondering about noone having started a thread about this yet. Funny that we did it simultaneously.

Btw, I really don't like the music!! But this production sounds pretty sick!

Haha at first I thought it was emmure at the start (was reading the topic while it was loading).. I was like wtf joey ?.. but then the actual emmure song started and shit got real :D

tbh I dont mind emmure that much.. the chorus is kinda catchy.

Hahah! Too bad John Dorian, your epic movie can't be released now due to copyright issues.

Hahahhahahahaha I love you for catching this.

Chorus isn't too bad, the growled/screamed parts in it are pretty brutal. Talking stuff gets really annoying but that's their schtick.

The worst part is the transitions into the chorus... it's like they couldn't figure out how to write a half-decent pre-chorus, so they just had Joey do a pitch envelope swell up to it every time.

*^$# emmure , what the hell with dr.acula .... I used to like this stupid music but now it became stupid in... stupid way

like Shocker On Shock Street talks about pozers and scene kids but they became like those scene kids

FTL

thought this was pertinent.

God I hate shitty breakdowns. There are some ok parts in this song, but overall I hate it.

Yeah that's just it man, exactly. Like, I totally "get" this band and what they're putting forward, and as much as I don't dig it... I accept it. But the actual writing of a lot of their stuff is fucking terrible, and they rely way too much on production to pull off their half-assed 2-step bs

so true.

It feels like they wrote that song in 5mins....

Songwriting absolutely BLOWS. they're some cool riffs but the all the transitions i've heard for the most part suckkkkk. it's like everytime they change riffs, it only works because Joey put in some kinda reverse/swell/glitch thing....

Somehow I'm inclined to think that if this band have actually managed to cultivate a following with this music, then all of the discussion here about transitions, and flow will never even register, nor matter. It feels like it would be the same crowd who trip up and whore-dance to the same electro beat for 12 hours at the clubs, but somehow they managed to get sidetracked by a band doing it with guitars instead.

Props to Joey for the automation though. It's the only thing which makes the music even remotely listenable.
