The tone and production of the album is heavy as fuck, I love it. Songs are great too; I lost interest after Demanfacture and then liked Archetype later and now I'm really digging this.

I dunno I dont put Meshuggah and FF in the same category. While I totally agree that Meshuggah is a better band all around I just dont really compare the 2 cause they are so different

Dude Meshuggah is not boring. They are one of the most diverse band out there. Granted everything is tune to the bowels of hell but they are just one giant rythmic machine. Not many band in the world are that tight

Funny. I love Catch33. It's a singular vision and they pulled it off perfectly, IMO. It's like I's mature older brother.

I loved how Meshuggah took risks and would reinvent themselves with every release.
I just think ObZen was a huge step backwards.

Animals as Leaders reminds me of Meshuggah but less aggressive; I'm not a huge fan of either of them. That whole super down tuned rubber band twanging is not my style.

Funny! The parts of Catch33 that sound most like the rubberbands are my favorite parts of the song!
The riff at :32 in 'Entrapment' is my pick for metal riff of the decade, 2000.
