I just want someone to finally start using our massively parallelized insane DSP chips that sit there and do nothing until a game is played. Yes I'm thinking of the AMD and NVidia monsters. Too lame no one has done squat with CUDA or OpenCL.

The hardware is there and cheap and everyone has it. Enough with the TigerSHARCs already. How about FPGAs? They've been a riot in live digital mixing consoles lately...

My problem exactly. I don't think Axe-FX is overpriced, as much as it has a lot of functionality we're paying for but not using.

However, the "old" model would probably drop in price a little. Not sure if you want something "outdated" though

Yup, exactly. Don't really want to buy the Ultra if there is something better but to justify the expense I should sell a few tube amps which I am very hesitant about. Been burned with Line 6 too many times to do that.

Fuck me I am now officially excited !!!!! Been on the G66 waiting list for six months for the Ultra . I know I am quite near the top of the list now , question is if those outstanding orders will get first refusal's on the new product ? I guess if the old one is canned that will be the case (I hope) . Or will Europe be waiting for the U.S market to be satisfied first ? Who knows , I guess all will be revealed soon though .
