It's free - you can make your own.

I can't run Windows applications. I also have a hard time taking a company seriously that makes audio software that can't run on a Mac, even if I had a Windows box or an Intel based Mac. :goggly:

Well I just downloaded it, stuck in some high gain type settings and came up with THIS using just the plug-in and a high- and low-pass (sorry for the shitty quality, didn't realise it was set so low). It's not too bad, you could get it better with some proper tweaking. It's a bit hissy, though sitting in front of my CRT when recording the guitar parts can take the blame for some of that. Shame you can't turn the cab sim off.

Oh, and it comes with possibly the worst set of presets I've ever heard - no wonder they didn't supply any samples...

They probably are just..stupid? Anyway, being able to do good clean sounds is no great feat...I mean, POD 2.0 had good clean sounds everything that models can do good clean sounds. I mean jesus...it's clean...not much to worry about. The real challenge is modelling high gain amplifiers. Or creating original high gain models. And then making them sound good. As we have seen over the years, modelers (no matter how much you fuck with them) can sound realllllllly fucking good...for being a modeler. You can always tell. Always. With cleans, pfft, if I did a clean track with my PODxt and said it was a Fender Deluxe Twin Reverb mic'ed with an AT4033...you'd have no clue if I was being straight up or not. But let me do a clip with a PODxt trying to emulate a known high-gain amp and you'd be like "ugh I hate POD" right off the bat.

WOW.
