Hey all.

Showing off 2 of my girls!

I just picked up a new old stock Ibanez MTM2. Really liking it. The bridge makes for some GREAT tuning stability. Im a stickler for tuning, and until I can get my hands on an affordable VGS with the Evertune system, this will be my tuning beast.... I bought this guitar to experiment with alt tuning. currently have it set to open C.

Can anyone recommend pups for this beast to replace the V7 and V8?!

Beside that I have my custom jobby. Originally I had ordered a Ibanez prestige 2620, and I wanted a custom neck.

Long story short, the luthier Christopher Woods who did it for me, advised to me that the project wasnt workign out, so I had him give me a new body, new neck, with the Ibanez hardware.

So the specs on the custom are this...

-1 piece mahogany body (he did the inlays, I didnt request anything, I think it was a trial for him)
-Edge Pro bridge
- 81 / 89 combo with a push pull pot to split the neck pickup

Now here is where this guitar shines, I wanted a neck built to my specs.

- 24 fret 5 piece maple neck (also has two graphite stabilizer rods in there, i live in a crazy environment, so I didnt want any neck shift, this thing is a brick)
- Peavey Wolfgang asymetrical style neck (LOVED the feel on these, wanted a 24 fret version)
- Stainless Steel jumbo frets. 2 years later, they still play like new
- Planet waves auto trim tuners (locking bridge I know, totally unneccessary, but I had them lying around, so I used them)
- all high end accessories (CTS pots, switch, etc.)
- the inlays in there now are the old Jem pyramids in a silver. they were matchign the original body I had, but are on this other body, but they matched the orig and look killer)

The bridge is blocked one way, this thing holds tune and sounds GREAT. I have owned over 40 guitars in my day, and this one custom project essentially KILLED my gas for wanting another standard 25.5" guitar.

Love it, Woods NAILED the neck when he made it, and I dont know if he is still around or not, but it was worth every penny and the LONG wait for it!

Have a peek :)
