New Iced Earth cover

Pretty much exactly what I was expecting, not bad, but not great, probably what ill think of the music going by what ive heard thus far too, but anyway... ICED EARTH!

(Its about 800k so it will take a while)

Not too bad, probably very suited to the album. Very grim and brutal portrayal of war, which is what I want to hear in the album.
I am starting to like the samples more now too, so I am looking forward to it more than I was a couple of weeks back when I first heard them.

Yeah thats what I have been thinking. At first I thought 'Set could have been worked into it', then I started thinking it is probably better that he wasn't, gives the album a more 'real' look about it, which is how I hope it sounds. 'Real' and 'grim', as I said above.

I agree it's a good cover for the concept. It just doesn't seem like IE anymore without Set there. It's like seeing a Megadeth album without Vic on the cover.

Its a good cover, and a great painting, I quite like it, just seems a little... Plain... But still good. I dont think the lyrics are going to be too grim going by the fairly generic ones in the 3 samples Blitzy

I'm glad there's no Set on the cover. He's been overused already and should be kept in mothballs until Something Wicked part II comes out.

The artwork seems almost as epic as the album is supposed to be, which makes it a good match. What I'd like to see now are some new band photos with Ripper (I do beg your pardon, "Tim") and the new guitarist bloke, whatever his name is.

Ralph Santolla I think the new guitarists name is, he used to be in Death, so im assuming he is quite technically proficient on the guitar, though Jon probably wont let him show it
