Am I the only one who thinks the new material sounds flat and lifeless? The way it's produced makes it feel a bit lifeless to my ear. Owens is a great vocalist, but Schaffer's guitar work feels a bit uninspired and recycled. I just can't get into any of the new stuff I've heard at all. uke:

I hear ya ... I previewed the new disc .. didn't do much for me. The Glorious Burden didn't have a real long shelf life for me either. I was impressed with them live though. I thought they sounded pretty damn good, but on disc it's not capturing my attention like the good ol' days.

I totally agree about the music production. they need to find a new place to record and a new producer for sure. everything sounds flat and lifeless.
