After years of being limited to the 2 inputs on my line6 interface I finally bought a Presonus Firestudio interface!

I'm really happy with it so far, had no problems getting it running on 64bit Windows 7 with cubase, just downloaded the new drivers from the get-go.

Anyways of course I was eager to finally try recording my own drum set

My cymbals are absolute garbage (10 year old zildjian ZBTs lol) and I'm a pretty poor drummer but I figured I would have a go anyways!

The kick is a sample and the snare is 50/50

I'm pretty happy with the tom sound, havent had a chance to EQ them much yet.

Also the overheads seemed to pick up the metronome clicks from my headphones in the beginning after the cymbal choke.

Edit: nevermind, now that I think of it my friend was manning the computer in the same room and probably had the monitors on with the click playing through them, oh boy haha

It was hard to edit the silence out without cutting off the ring of the cymbal too close, you can also hear me saying "ow" after the first choke because I went for the choke and ended up punching my cymbal more or less

Let me know what you think!
