To any of you who are Iced Earth fans, Jon Schaffer has a new project called Sons Of Liberty. It focuses on an important message, especially for Americans. The freedom of America and the rest of the world are secretly being highjacked, I know that sounds a little extreme but if you're interested in finding out more I suggest you do some research... Again, especially if you're an American. The 'Sons of Liberty' album is called Brush-fires Of The Mind and since Jon believes getting the message out is so important it's officially approved and encouraged to be downloaded and spread throughout the internet.
Musically, the project is pretty similar to Iced Earth. Lyrically, it's very different. Featuring some of the best stuff Jon has ever written.
The tracks are as follows:
1. Creature From Jackyll Island
2. Don't Tread On Me
3. False Flag
4. Our Dying Republic
5. Indentured Servitude
6. Tree Of Liberty
7. Feeling Helpless?
8. The Cleansing Wind
9. We The Peaple
Again, the album is available for download and spreading throughout the internet. All are permitted and encouraged by Jon. The album is up on YouTube, as well as streaming on the band's website sons-of-liberty.net
There's an interview Dave Mustaine did with Alex Jones around the time of Endgame's release too... Thought some of you might be interested...
All the links you could ever want can be found on sons-of-liberty.net, but here's a few more worth checking out:
