new Judas Priest track

this IS the single that is going to radio ... I am not too knocked over either ... but these guys are close to 50's if I am not mistaken. An all out balls out assault is probably out of the question at this point.

but this is not really doing it for me though.

Are u kidding me? I saw them live 3 months ago, they pummeled over 8,000 fans in Houston.

They still have it, but I'm looking for it on that track...

They still have the chops, but not the songwriting ideas. That ran out those 20 years ago. I still want to check out the album, and unless it totally sucks I'll give them my cash. But I'm not too hopeful that it will be a strong album.

Excitement and anticipation at first. Then i heard it... wow how mediocre and generic :( I love me some Priest but damn i know they can do better.

the whole opening 30 seconds or so reminds of something I have heard before from another band ... but damn I cannot figure out who and what?

Hmmmmmm...interesting!

I found the first half of that rather kickass, but the entire second half of the song being chorus was a bit :err: it's a somewhat subdued Priest, they're not quite firing on all cylinders here exactly. But it's cool to hear them trying something slightly different (as always!) and I think it's going to be a grower.

aaarggh. I hear the vince neil in his vocals at one point.

this song is a straight sequel to the 70's era priest, and unfortunately, not painkiller, which is what I was hopin for...

evil c.

this tribal ... stop and go ... nu metalish type of riffing drumming is really annoying ...
agh ... this is not growing on me but rather getting more annoying.

This sounds more like their late 80's stuff to me. I wish it was like their 70's stuff. That's when they were good!
Defenders is still the last album I truly love. Although honestly, I never even heard the Ripper stuff.
I was hoping this would be more in the vein of the first Halford album. Not fantastic, but still solid stuff.

eh i didn't hear any late 80's Priest in that song. Ram It Down, Heavy Metal, Hard as Iron, Blood Red Skies, even Love Zone all trample Revolution. Even Hot for Love and Parental Guidance, which i feel are probably the worst tracks from Turbo, do more for me than Revolution does. *shrug* That's just me though and i don't forsee this new song growing on me in any way either.

lol, i don't hear the style comparisons either. if anything i'd say it's a watered down version of a left over track from Demolition. I like Demolition alot, may not have been a consistant release but it does have some great songs on it.
