New Kamelot, June 5th

Listen to Ghost Opera right here.

I just pissed my pants.

just heard it...solid. I was curious as to whether it was the same as the sample that Thomas Youngblood played on the bonus DVD from One Cold Winter's Night...yep, sure as shit, it was Ghost Opera :)

It's kinda weird, bu just like in "The Black Halo", i don't like the title track in this album too. Too plain and simple. But it may be ok among the whole album and may serve good for the whole concept. Bu if it's the magnum opus, i probably would be disappointed...

Edit: Hey, after 2 more listens i begin to like the song. The female vocal in the chorus sounds awesome... :) (But i insist on not liking the song "The Black Halo") :D

Hey, I like The Black Halo! The only problem is that that song is too short, simple and straightforward. That's why Memento Mori is the best song on that album.

Seriously though, I can't stop listening to this song! I have it in itunes format now also, 'cause it got leaked via one of the sample cd's that they were giving out at the first few shows on the tour.

If the rest of the album is this good, then I think we might have a best album of the year.
And if the dark and eerie atmosphere in this song is what Kamelot got when Oliver joined the band then just wow...

== ALSO.... ==

For those of you who want to hear it in a quality better than the shit Youtube quality....

HERE YOU GO

NOTE: I'm not the one who megauploaded the song.

I put my vote on Paradise Lost. :) (Yet, no need to compare, quite different tastes ;) )

Nothing Ever Dies or Soul Society are better songs for me on The Black Halo album, rather then Memento Mori-which is also quite good BTW...

And the Black Halo song, it begins awesome and very promising. Yet, rest is quite boring and the chorus is pretty bad i think...

Okay, so maybe Ghost Opera'll be #3 'cause of Systematic Chaos or 4, depending on if Adagio releases another album by the end of the year, maybe even 5 if Humanity Dethroned is as good as I can imagine from what we've heard.

So at least I can count on Ghost Opera making my top 5 of the year.

As for The Black Halo, I love the chorus to that song. The first few times, it was so catchy that I hated to love it, but after a while, I just found it awesome; but the short length of the song is still really disappointing.

Adagio BETTER have the album out this year...they entered the studio in December according to their site! :goggly: Humanity Dethroned...it's gonna be more like...Humanity OWNED! :D

BTW...here's a link to a high quality MP3 (instead of WMA) if anyone's interested...

Two questions about Kamelot...

1. Where is the band from?

2. What is their best album? I've only heard The Black Halo and a bit from Epica.

Kahn (vocalist) is from Norway I believe, while the rest of the band is from Florida (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

MY favorite is either Epica or the Black Halo. Karma is really good too, but I always go back and forth between Epica and Black Halo.

What a badass cover! Can't wait for this one! There's so many new albums this summer... Symphony X, Kamelot, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Rush...

Silence of the Darkness <--- Recycling lyrics for song names?

That's pretty common for a lot of bands. I seem to remember Dream Theater doing it a few times.

So I've finished listening to Epica, and a like The Black Halo better. Now on to Karma...
