Also, it looks like the "lite" version is the same as full, only with less samples (AKA less realistic), is that right?

Awesome thing.
Really like it!

But as a Kontakt noob I'm not able to set up these KeySwitches...
Do you have any link to useful content about that, I searched for some time on YT(and in the manuals) and haven't found anything clearly described "how to", for this rather simple stuff:oops:

Full screen and put it in HD.
The keyswitching is the lower midi notes.
first one is slide up fast, then slide down slow, right into alt picking.
I keep putting the alt picking midi note before the group of fast notes to ensure the first accent note is a down pick (just like a person would do)
When there's a slow part that a person would only down pick you'd draw in a midi note for down pick only.
You always want to draw the midi keyswitch notes right before the note. So like a 64th note right before. or 32nd note.
To make it easier I'd suggest always having it on alt pick when your making the midi track. Then once it's done go in and draw the keyswitch midi.

If it's too vague and shitty I can hook up a mic and go more in depth with it.

A pack of .175 strings is like 75$, so I just went with a .135 and the lowest note I recorded was a low A. Kontakt pitch shifts it pretty good to an F though.
If I can find some raw mixing tracks of a decently recorded and performed song in F I could make an example.

Thanks a bunch man, the tut was enough to make it work here. Was so confused that I was in Kontakt fiddling around the group stuff in the instrument
Now it works like a charm and it's really awesome.

How do you work out bends(out of curiosity), with the pitch wheel and then exporting(or automating)?

Thanks for the vid, helped a lot!

You could either draw the automation in the midi file, or assign the pitch wheel to a midi controller and write the automation on the track, or bounce to audio and put on a pitch shifting plugin and automate that.

This is drawing the automation in the midi file.
You can control the over all amount of bend by clicking on the mod drop down and moving the slider to the amount of notes you want it to be able to bend it.
You can bend it up to an octave, but don't do that haha.

just purchased the FULL.
i usually record my bass but tis sounds so good i can imagine using it in my projects actually :)

EDIT: i guess you'll send me the downlad link personally? :)

just got the downlaod link, so i downloaded, unpacked and put it into my KONTAKT (latest version) samples folder.
kontakt opens the files and loads the samples but it remains silent...any ideas?

i also do not see the coloured keyswitch keys...

Jo,

Set the Keyswitch in Kontakt(the tool icon) to alternate.

It starts with slides(the default key switch)...

Or draw the keyswitch in before your Basspart starts
