New Logo?

The band HAS changed it before...

If they were to send us a curveball like a new logo, what do you think it'd look like? Ideas, brainstorming, or panicking--your choice. Just think about it!

I'd be interested to see a tech-y change, like In Flames and Dark Tranquility both pulled circa 1997/1998.

It's a great logo as it is, and that's what they've become associated with. A logo change would just be redundant.

I refuse to believe they'd change it. Like Moonlapse said, Opeth have become associated with that logo. When I think Opeth, i think of the logo, or even just the 'O'. I think their constant logo changing was synonymous with their constant style shifting as well as band members going here and there. However now they've pretty much settled with fixed band members. They've also established a more consistent sound (e.g. between BWP and Deliverance, they may be quite different, but they have similarities).

I agree they shouldn't change. I think the actual logo fits the band perfectly, a little pointy and a little leafy.

I remember they had a crucifixy looking "t" in their logo before. The whole logo was kinda lame, but if this album will deal with the occult as mikael mentioned, maybe we can expect some kind of pagan-esque or darker kind of logo.

Yeah dude, the current logo should be a lifer, its one of my favorites for any band.
