New Metalcore Mix: Sturgis & Chango Samples

Hey everyone lemme know whatcha think. All drums are black and gold. 808's are Chango.

it's overcompressed and favors the higher frequencies too much, but i'm interested to hear what you did to your kick.

hmm im running a limiter in my mastering chain, but other than that there really isnt much group compression going on. As far as the kick goes, its really nothing more than a some slight EQ and parallel compression.

Guitars are too quiet and just sound really thin. I like your kick drum sound tho, even though it's a bit loud in the mix. But that could be due to the guitars being quiet. What was the kick sample you used exactly?

Sturgis Black & Gold Alt 2 blended with a tad of Kick 10. I'll definitely beef up the guitars some and repost. Thanks so much for the input!

This song could definitely use louder guitars. The vocals bring all the punch of the track.
