New mix, blackened deaththrashdjentcore, axe/s2/absynth

humble personal opinion: too much low end on the kick, great guitar tones, cant hear the bass guitar, I would make the snare more bright and crispy

tweaked the snare and overheads a bit. turned the kick down very slightly mostly just lopped a couple dbs off the low boost. snare EQ right now is set to bring out a bit more of the wires for extra brightness, can't really find a sweet spot that makes me go "That's it!" right now. when I had the overheads up a lot louder the snare actually sounded better, I'm just trying to get that sound back now after turning the OH down to push the cymbals further back in the mix.. no dice so far

there is no real bass in this song yet - its just pitch shifted guitar. I can't play bass well enough to actually get real bass on this song :(

uploaded the tweaked version at the original link

thanks for the good word about the guitar tone

Yeah, I thought it sounded pretty good. The drums were definitely a bit out of joint, snare and bass drum dominating. Good start though.

the guitar level I'm not sure about right now. I might bring it up a bit more.

on my To Do list is replace the pitch shifted "bass" guitar with programmed Trillian bass and see if I can get that to sound good. then I want to re-amp the guitar parts through my Engl Invader, Orange 4x12 and SM57 just to see if the tone is an improvement, but I dunno. the tonal character I have with the guitars right now is nice, I just want to get a little bit more realistic "air" in them if that makes any sense.. I'd probably be just as well off taking the Axe tone, running it through a power amp, and recording that instead.
