new mix i am working on, 5150,mesaos,superior2.0,glitch

the vox sounds AMAZING, who's that? and yeah i must agree on the toms being kind'a dry but i wouldn't have noticed if i didn't read that comment, the use of glitch is amazing too!

god(?)like!!!

if i were a dickhead i would say the toms are wird...but i'm not :D

tell us more abour editing process - drums, guitars, mastering

Hey Ryan, pretty cool dude, though I gotta be honest, the novelty of glitch is starting to wear a bit thin ;) Sounds pretty beastly, very full, the bass especially; I dig the drums, and the guitar tone is cool, though it seems a bit imbalanced (louder/fuller in the left channel than the right). Vox are clear and aggressive, maybe a touch too loud, but overall cool; SM7? Also, though, the cymbals are a bit too loud IMO. But yeah, overall pretty tits, especially the snare - replaced, I assume? The kick is cool, but could use a tad more click.

sounds sick bro!!

i agree with metaltastic, the glitch usage is getting a bit redundant.. unless you were to use it a little more creatively, like, the newest BMTH record has really good use of glitch type shit..

high-end on the cymbals and vocals gives me a headache bro!

and.. left guitar is louder than right guitar.

besides this, it really is a sick fucking mix dude. definitely different than the podxt/slate drums stuff usually posted here (which sounds good when done ala joeymusicguy) but, i dig this more!

I dig this a lot. It sounds great and the guitar tone is amazing and totally works with the mix nicely.

Keep more stuff coming man. I love the tones you dial in. :)

Soulfly feeling?I like:flame:

AAArgghhh:err:Blastbeats.No Soulfly:guh:

Oh well:) I like either way:worship:

Nice mix man:rock:

i need help with the left and balance. someone please fuckin help me.

Ignore the level metering on your DAW. Solo the guitars, close your eyes and level them. The left seems to be loud most of the time, but there was a section where I thought they may have been the same level, then they went out again.

Just use your ears, sounds like you're good at it :p

phenomenal mix catharsis!

absolutely sick.

do you program the drums by hand in superior drummer/reaper?

more info on reaper vocal chain please. especially the super low/growly type vocals.

I don't dig the kick or toms, but as normal the guitar tone is tits. I think the kick neeeds to come up a fair bit.

Joe

Kick gets a bit lost at times. It needs some more highs (more round 7k+, not around 3-4k).
Guitars are a bit low/or bass is way loud I think.
I would lower the compression on the vocals.. there are some weird transients poking out cos of the massive compression.

Snare is effing godly. Toms I think have too much verb on them.. or too much highend on the verb, it pokes through the mix way too much esp at :32.

Listening to v4 atm, hehe. What's up with the Architects riff-rips. 00:29 especially.

Anyway, I agree on the highs on the kick. More high-highs. Sounds like a better version of Born of Osiris' old kick ;D

Also, the tape stop glitch pitches back at 01:13. Maybe you want it to be like that, but I don't think you do... At least I don't ;)

The tom's have to much highs imo. To clicky. Doesn't feel like they fit the rest of the kit.

i think it sounds fucking awesome right now, can't talk about balance since i'm on mono speakers right now, even though, it's rockin' hard man, vox and guitar tone here would make me buy the album =]
