new mix, metalcore... AD, rev III

Hi guys, this is first ver mix of my friends band 3 song demo. I made it at night on headphones There is no automation so snare can be a bit to loud sometimes, same with vocals.

I don't like guitars, don't know how to make rev III soundig better, i use xxx simulation, and aradaz cab simulation.

Maybe someone like reamp me guitars without a cab lol ;P?

I think it sounds good.
If you don't like the guitars you may want to try guitarhacks impulses, they rock. Kick yould be a bit louder, btw.
But overall pretty cool

i know very well ghacks impulses ;P but i think this cab simulator is very good too, and it can mix two impulses.
You are right with the kick thx.

I recognize Revalver in there yeah... I'm afraid there's not much to do about it. It always sounds the same in its "essence", sometimes better and sometimes worse but it's always there. But still, it wasn't really bad, I think you could use this tone, maybe continue tweaking it and try to improve whatever you can.

What did you do to get the kick and snare so in your face? i think it sounds great btw, the double highpitched screams are bit too loud imho.

i am glad you like it, because i am fan of your mixes heh
on drums:
there is nothing special i watched great and helping video posted by Machinated (big thx again) and saw on them, that he put "Strip native" with "drum bus2" preset, so i tried this, and it works great , next plug is "Event horizon", and last is "g clip", to cut a little snare...so 3 plugs on drum bus
and i bump a little kick and snare with my samples and a little EQ on them, nothing more

AD preset is one of the most popular here on forum ;P i don't remember who posted it



aaaand vocals aren't highpitched, there is only comp and saturation and as i wrote on first post i must tweak a little vol on snare and vocals;P

glad you like the old URS strip drum bus thing - thats one thing I do on almost every mix!
