New mix need help

This is my first “real” recording ever of one of my band songs. Please let me know what might make this mix better. The guitar sole and some of the vocals will be retaken.

those vocals sound bad ass. what mic did you use?
the kick kinda sounds a little too loud.
im lovin the song though man.

the kick is too loud, the guitar tone could be better, it's a bit fizzy/weak. the vocals don't sound bad, but they could use some echo/verb.

Yeah all too much kick, i will try to make a mix with more verb on the vocal to.

But I think the snare might be a bit louder some places, I can’t seem to get it controlled, it’s clipping like hell. Have the C1 compressor as a limiter set with ratio 50, Attack 0.01, Release 60 and its gain reduction 3-18 db, and waves SSL for compression with gain reduction about 8-12. Actually it’s forcing me the turn down the volume on all other tracks. Any ideas? If anyone knows the album Revolver with the band The Haunted, that’s the snare I am going for. http://www.myspace.com/thehaunted example the song “99”

How do you meen bad ass, like it sucks or what? The chain I used:
