Sooo, I've been experimenting with different bass sounds, using a different approach to mixing, and have come up with my latest mix of an older song of mine:

I really put a lot of work into the guitar and bass tones, used a lot of multitracking (about 22 guitar tracks total) to get a big wall of sound. I know the vocal recording isn't very good, but it was recorded right before my crappy mic crapped out on me. There was a bunch of popping in the original recording that I managed to kill with a Deesser and some EQ'ing, but I think it took too much of the higher frequencies out.
Any tips, comments, suggestions?
