Here's my latest mix, It is an instrumental of the first minute or so of A Let's Get It track: Do Not Disturb (Tell Me How Bad), originally produced by Mr Sturgis himself. I was not aiming to make it sound like his, but i wanted it to still be close to the original.

Sounds like straight SSD to me. The mix is definitely lacking in low-end and mids, and the drums and OHs are too loud.

Yea I could tell they were SSD. Just wanted to know about which snare he chose mostly. I'm tired of snare 11

haha how funny is that? I only have the SSD EX so im stuck with the snare 11a!!! which is the one used in this cover. Thanks for the criticism guys!

It sounds like basic compression/volume to me. It also sounds mono. The SSD room sound is pretty important too.
