New Mnemic

and fuck, it probably costs about 30,000 less to go on tour with backing tracks, instead of hiring 10 extra people to do the shit live, and have a chance of them messing it up as well

lol !!
It probably costs even less to sit at home and send your CD on tour. Let's do that.

I see where you're coming from, and I even have no problem with backing tracks, but I think this logic is a little weird. If bands COULD afford to bring extra musicians with them, I'd rather they at least brought along a keyboard player or something.

I fukkin' love this band!!!
I can't wait to BUY the new album and refuse to even think about downloading even a single song. I suppose i'm quite old fasioned in that respect that I like supporting the artist.
That's cool man! I'm the same way. I even have burned copies of shit, and I'll still go out and get the album, for the artwork and shit. I spend a helluva lot of cash on albums, but that's what keeps it alive!

I've heard that "Buckethead" comes out on stage with an ipod, pushes play, then plays his leads to it! GENIUS!!!!!!

but i'd never pay money to see that...

i think we've steered from the point, but i digress

backing tracks are what they are, whether you like em or not

if i heard someone disliked a band because the band used backing tracks that were impossible to perform live by the band its self... i would probably ask that person why they like the cd so much

I think it sounds really good, except for the guitars being too low in the mix. They're still a metal band so we need to hear more guitar. I still don't like the Krank sound, in fact the more recordings i hear the more i hate them. I asked my friend how Dimebag's rig sounded because he got to jam Walk with Damageplan onstage at the last show before dimebag was killed (R.I.P.). but he said the monitors sucked and he could barely hear. I thought they would be god-like to get Dime to change after so many years of randalls. But the one's i've heard in person sounded like over-processed JCM800s.

I used to have long, unproductive arguments with my college roommate about that. He hated any one-guitarist band who put rhythm guitar track under a solo in a studio recording, but loved Def Leppard's "Hysteria" album. Go figure. :goggly:
