New Molotov Solution... Insurrection

now that some time has gone by, any new info on this mix possibly? I have been stuck on this mix. So good but weird but good but still somewhat weird but awesome. I cant get over it

A friend showed me this mix as well as Northlane a while back. It's funny cause there is clipping and pumping all over but i still fucking love the vibe it has. When a mix makes you hate your mixes you know it is a great mix!

Glad some others here are as stoked on this as i was when i first heard it.

Will Putney needs to get in this forum and share some details!!!:headbang:

Agreed. I only heard that one song on youtube so I'm not sure if the pumping is from youtube conversion/compression.

Although the kick and snare are OBVIOUSLY clipping to hell! But everything as a whole sounds so so so so so massively good. It's insane, the songwritting helps LOADS though

Guitars sound massive, which according to Will, was performed by a Diezel and a 5150 II both through mesa cab.. Seems to be a normal setup there, judging from past productions and some videos.

Will is the fuckign shit.

Guitars are axe on the leads and effects side of things. He used real amps for the Rhythms. Just talked to him about this. Record sounds sick

sick shit!

Sounds heavily replaced but roomy, though...

Sorry for bringing back an older thread, but I heard through the grapevine on facebook from Will that the snare and toms were totally natural. :OMG: Only thing replaced was the kick.

His work is outstanding. What I would do just to even be the "studio bitch" around the machine shop :p

talked to richie gomez couple days ago, he told me the exact same about the leads (axe fx) and rhythms (diezel, mesa, 5150 etc) and how will did ALOT in the production side of things for eg. changing vocal parts to fit in places where it would sound more massive, and another fun thing was that richie told me: in the song "the final hour", the intro, these sounds are Will Putney moving a rake on concrete ground, dropping something (i cant remember that one, sry) and hitting a glass bottle on concrete or such. pretty cool!!! thought you guys might enjoy that, haha
