Greetings metal bretheren...haven't been here in some time, thought I'd better check in. Just got "enemies of reality" in the mail today. I like it. It seems to logically pick up where "dead heart..." left off. My fave tracks so far are "Ambivalent", "Never Purify", and "Seed Awakening". Your thoughts???
Can't freakin wait for: ARCH ENEMY, DIMENSION ZERO, DEATH ANGEL, and EXODUS!!! What's the latest scoop on Exodus's return? DNR...

I've had that album for a month or so :D...it fucking SLAYS Dead Heart; almost as good as Politics of Ecstacy. "I, Voyager" is thrashtastic, the title track and "Seed Awakening" are damn brutal, and "Tomorrow Turned Into Yesterday" is their best ballad since "Dreaming Neon Black."

I got it yesterday in the mail...it's really good! I just love these guys, they never disapoint! I'm a little bummed about the production, but I'll live with it...because it's such a damn good album!

What'd you do Pyrus...download it? Hopefully you'll also actually buy it. The record companies and labels look at the first week's sales and go off of that when they are deciding whether or not to continue their relationship with the band....a little something to think about....:Smug:

I bought it, and the music rules. Songs like Ambivalent, Never Purify, I, Voyager, and Seed Awakening are real ass kickers! However, the production is horrible. Oh well, these songs will crush live! \m/

That's exactly what I thought! I'll live with the crappy production as long as I get to see it live and hear it as it should sound! the whole cd is killer songwise...I've just gotten really picky with production lately...I like it crisp...not muddy.

i agree! it is lackluster to say the least. didn't kelly gray produce candlebox??? what were they thinking? they could afford someone better couldn't they. i don't know how all that crap gets decided on, but why not colin richardson? andy sneap? hell, splurge for a plane ticket and get fredrick over to the emerald city for some knob twiddlin...damn. but yes, live it will crush!!!

Unfortunately, I think Century Media really restricted Nevermore's budget on EOR because they realized it would be Nevermore's last disc with their label. Therefore, producers like Colin Richardson, Andy Sneap, and Neil Kernon were never an option. It sucks, and I hope Nevermore's new label treats them with the respect they deserve. However, the band still could have made a better decision than Q2K's Kelly Gray. :erk:

Century Media definitely sucks when it comes to promoting Nevermore's great music, its a great thing that they are getting away from Century Media, Nevermore is one kick ass band, one of the greatest bands around... as for the new album, its fuckin awesome, its said that Dead Heart was one of their worst albums, and even that album owns.... Nevermore is not capable of making bad music... dont know why, but it def. seems that way....

I just heard some guy from the Nevermore board's remix of the album that he did at home, and it sounds 110% better..... I might have to re-evaluate this CD

Yeah the new shit rules...no album yet, but I saw them at NE Metal fest in May and it killed...

and to repeat a question, what is Testaments writing/recording status?
