I was a bit bored by what I heard. I listened for about 30 minutes. there were a few standout moments, and admittedly I was only have listening,but I am in no hurry to give it another go.

haha... Yeah, I apologize for the Nile praise;just a big fan. I understand it gets annoying and I don't want to turn this into a Nile worship thread.
Anyway, in response to HellAwaits, Monstrosity is awesome. Their new stuff is good, but Imperial Doom is killer. Sure, it has some Morbid Angel influence but when is that ever wrong!? ...along with other
Florida death metal attributes. I think Monstrosity exceeds the other brutal FL bands by actually allowing the bass tracks to be audible, they flow really well. The guitar work along with the bass guitar work is exceptional on this album.
Nile is a very good band, I just wished they let Karl Sanders growl more than he does, Dallas is very good but I don't get enough of Karl on the Nile CD's, maybe Ityllphalic will prove me wrong.

I completely agree with you. Karl's vocals are so deep man.
I don't think he's in the mix too much because he can't handle it live.
He is present on the new album,but hardly. His vocals on the song Eat of the dead are cool however

Can't handle it live? How so? If he's doing the type of growl I think he;s doing(those go deep as yuo can lowswithout pushng your tongue at the roof of yur mouth ie. Mortician) then those really aren't hard growls to do, for me anyways, the hardest growls are traditional ones, you have a better chance of sounding hollow doing those, but that's just my experience,if you've drank some water and warmed up you should be fine on any growl. But I'm not Karl Sanders so I really don't know.
I listened to it when it was first leaked. I like it, its overall a good album and I'd probably give it an 8/10 maybe higher...nothing outstanding but good, 'In Their Darkened Shrines' is still my favourite.

Good album, but definitely not the best of the year. New Akercocke is going to be pretty hard to beat.

^I want to get Antichrist from Akercocke, I liked the Summon The Antichrist song and liked the samples of The Goat of Mendes I heard on Amazon, and both the screams and growls are really good.

This is an amazing album.... good pysching material, since I'm seeing them in a few weeks. My second Nile show ever, sigh.
